[DeTomaso] how do you remove upper starter nut?

I could not find a single 17mm for sale so I had to order one from Grainger. 
Worked great....but car still does not start....

John,
My car is apart so I can't see what you are talking about but I'm thinking that 
what you may need is a crow's foot wrench? Lot's of places have them, I think 
mine are Craftsman.
