Sorry to hear of the accident 
 
I did a lot of autocrossing in the day
and in running the event you also had to work,
go chase cones knocked down, be a starter,
or work in the stat trailer
 
One day in Fresno, Ca 104 temp
I was working a corner and chasing cones
They always tell eveyone not to sit down, pay
attention etc... We had a Corvette with a National
Champ Lady driving,, 650 hp plus, 12" slicks all around..
Kinda like slot cars glued to the track... traction let
loose and that car spun accross the infield with workers
running everywhere... Everyone was ok but it sure
made everyone alert for the last half hour of a hot
and long day.. if there would have been someone
sitting down it could have been a real problem
 
Going to the coast this weekend to see a few
of the ground pounders, Corvettes, Shelbies, etc
for her husbands memorial... She shot him many years
back for messing around with another woman
T'he Irish lady could really drive a car and get pissed
off also
