For reference I have switches that turn on at 92C and turn off at 87C on
both the inlet and outlet side. Each switch controls one fan.

Mine was like that originally too.  I don't have the original setup any
more.  I re-wired my fans when I installed the Fluidyne radiator.  It has a
shrouded flexalite 2-fan sucker assembly.  The Fluidyne has two sensor
bungs, one above the in/out hoses and one below.  I only trigger the relays
by the sensor at the bottom of the radiator, the sensor at the top of the
radiator is not connected to anything.  I originally had the relays fed by
unswitched battery power, but the fans seemed to never turn off.  I didn't
want to run my battery down every time I parked the car after a drive, so,
now the relays are driven by switched (ignition on) power.

The fans run constantly
rain/shine/cold/hot/freeway-driving/city-driving/parked/etc.  They are never
off when the engine is running (except maybe for 2-minutes during initial
warm up).  If the sensor trips the relays at 140/122 degrees, that just
seems to low.  Once the engine is running, I don't think its possible for to
ever drop below 122 degrees.

Mike,

High temp turns the fan on, low temp turns the fan off.  My original temp
switch has "FEB 71" on one corner, "M72" on another corner, and "V60" on the
center plastic part.  The temp switch should only turn on one fan.  The
other fan is turned on manually with the console mounted switch.
