Which is precisely why you will see many successful sellers have the lowest price of the item compared to others selling the same thing, but a higher shipping cost. The out of pocket to the buyer turns out to be a wash, same cost no matter what. But since the majority of fees are calculated on final sale price and not shipping, a seller can save money by making the item cheaper and jacking the shipping cost up beyond the real shipping cost.. Buyers tend to complain about high shipping costs... IMHO, they should think carefully. Most of the time the buyer is spending the same amount if money or less on the item he is buying, and the seller is cheating eBay out of fees, not the buyer into more cost. It's just the seller trying to recoup some loss on the sale due to the extreme high fees.
