Thanks Garth,
I am going to 1 1/2 tubes, but it's a little more complicated. I am trying Evans Coolant which may operate at a higher temperature. The McMaster black w/green stripe is only rated to 212. Maybe they just used boiling temp, but I'm not real happy with that. The Gates green stripe PN 96556 is rated to 275, but Gates also has a green stripe PN 24924 only rated to 257, suggesting that there are at least two varieties of Gates Green Stripe.
They are not making it simple.
Ken

Ken,
The Pantera water tubes are 1-3/8", assuming they haven't been changed to something different. 1-1/2" hose won't work on 1-3/8" fittings!
You can force-fit 1-3/8" Gates Green Stripe hose onto 1-1/2" fittings - some of the ss water pipe conversions and the Ford/Laminova water-to-oil heat exchanger bibs are 1-1/2" OD - all you need to do to slip a 1-3/8" hose on the 1-1/2" fitting is to briefly soak the hose end(s) in hot water.
The Gates Green Stripe may need to be special ordered, but a post from a year ago reported it was available from these sources:
Part# Description Size Source Comment
24222 2 ply green stripe 1-3/8 x 3' CarQuest; O'Reilly's
24228 2 ply green stripe 1-3/4 x 3' CarQuest; O'Reilly's
25384 Flex hose 1-3/8 x 25" same Only length available, and it cannot be cut
26501 Flex hose 1-3/4 x 13-1/2 same Only length available, and it cannot be cut

Order some Breeze HTM-200 Stainless Steel Hi-Torque hose clamps and eliminate the need to double-clamp your hoses! I ordered mine from Parts Systems ($2.95 ea):
http://partssystems.amazonwebstore.com/Super-Heavy-Duty-HiTorque-Hose-Clamp/M/B0002QTK4O.htm?traffic_src=froogle&utm_medium=CSE&utm_source=froogle
But you can find them for less with a little Google searching:
$1.89 ea. here: http://azsupply.thomasnet.com/item/all-categories-clamps-hi-torque-clamps/torque-super-heavy-duty-clamps-410-stainless-steel/item-12842
