[DeTomaso] Ebay fees a lot higher now?

Not that I’m aware of….it would be really cool. I think the performance car market alone could support something to compete with ebay’s outrageous fees…and by shear nature of being lower cost to participate, would flourish for all those out there like us who are looking for an alternative.

 

If I knew more about web design, I would heed my own idea by now and start something, both as a benefit to the greater good and to make an honest buck…but alas…I am not worthy of such things….

Well it depends on the value of the item you are selling. The percentage of
fee varies with a complicated equation on the amount of the item being
sold...it also is different for "buy it now" items, vs auction items....etc.
it’s a real mess...i have an ebay store, and they have yet again even
ANOTHER set of fees for store owners, vs auctions, vs buy it nows...and if
you are a store owner there is 2 or 3 different "store subscriber"
options...all with different levels of fees...

I agree is a monopoly...somebody is getting way richer than they should
be...

I sold some parts on ebay and should have looked at their final fees.  I
thought they were about 3%, but they are 9%.  Did they have a big fee
increase at some point?
