Rob,

Disconnect the blue and gray wires at the fan switch and temporarily connect them together.  The fan
should run without the key.  Does opening the door(s) affect the fan?  If so, then there is probably an
issue with the wire that grounds the fan relay coil.  Put the switch wires back together and add a jumper
wire from the fan relay ground terminal to a good ground, and check the operation again.

The blue wire at the fan switch should be hot all of the time, with the key off.
