[DeTomaso] About porting a Performer Air-Gap

I am in need of some additional advice here Dan.

My 4V heads are ported to 2.5 x 1.75
My old Performer 2665 had the ports taken out to 2.30 x 1.56
The new Air-Gap ports are 2.025 x 1.42

And the Edelbrock installation instructions say " For 4V applications,
no further porting is recommended".
Until I read that, I had planned to take them out to 2.30 x 1.56 also.
(on the basis that the guys who originally did the porting maybe had a
coherent plan.
They certainly did a nice-looking job.)

So I end up with all these choices

a. Leave it alone as Edelbrock says. (nice to shed one biggish job)
b. Take it out to 2.30 x 1.56
c. Take it out to 2.5 x 1.75 (I'd have to be careful about material
thickness)
d. Take it out to some other dimension

What do you think maestro?

tks
dave
