Hi Sue,

What wheels do you have on your Pantera now?  A 295/50-15 tire on a 8"x15" Campy should not stick out past your fender. I have the Toyo Proxes S/T tires (295/50-15) on my car on 8" wide Campys - you can see pics here (must be logged in to view the pictures):

If you have aftermarket 15" wheels, they might have the wrong offset.

FWIW, I used to have BFG Radial TA's (205/60-15) on the front and BFG Euro TA's (305/50-15) on the rear of my Pantera before I mounted the Toyo's.If you can find the Toyo Proxes in the right size for the rear and mount a set, you'll be amazed at the difference they make in how your car handles. I found initial turn in is better, handling is improved, the ride is better, feedback is excellent, and steering effort is indeed lighter.
