That would be for non-US market or 1975-on Panteras only Tomas.

Because Sue said her current rear tires were 265/50/15, I assumed she had
the 8 inch rear wheels which was standard for all the Ford program cars in
the US (including the GTS models). The current equivalent BFG TA for the
original  225/70 is 27.3" diameter. The 275/60/15 is 28". The difference in
tire diameter is only 0.7 inches. Width is another matter. We don't know if
the spring spacers that were standard on US cars are still in her car, but
that would have an effect on tire clearance as well.

No, the GTS sizes are 225/50-15 and 285/50-15 that should fit all narrow
body cars on appropriate rims. If someone was trying to mount 275/60-15
tires I assumed it was for 10" rear rims GTS style. GT5 cars use 285/40-15
front and 345/35-15 rear.

Actually, the Red owners handbook shows that for US Panteras from 71-74 the
fronts were 185/70 and then C60V15.

Rears were 215/70, 225/70 then H60V15.

So the original tire sizes were 70 series, not just 60 series. Quite a bit
taller than 50 series.

I think Thomas is referring to late model, maybe GT5 model tires?

Maybe Sue has a GT5, but I thought it was a stock body Ford program car.

275/60-15 would be too tall as well as the stock tires were 285/50-15.
