The regulator is pretty heavy and I'm sure it is heavier than it needs to be. So there you go Jack, I'll bet you could shave at least a pound and you could probably do it without removing the regulator. Check it out!


  Thanks, Art, but I went a little further. A few years ago I installed Ted MItchell's window lift kits which throw away the entire regulator for a 12 lb loss (2 doors) and better, faster operation. Not cheap but worth it IMHO- J DeRyke
