[DeTomaso] Bleeding the clutch line

You open the bleed valve as the person starts to press the pedal down.
Before they let it up you close the valve.
When I do it I say "Press down" then "Let up" to the person at the appropriate times so there can be no messups.

Don't forget to close the valve prior to allowing pedal to return.

op off the cylinder.
Pump the pedal several times,
hold it down.
Open the bleed screw, let it squirt.
refill the cylinder.
Do it all over again until the pedal is firm and stops where you think
t should.
If you let the cylinder run dry and air into the system,
ou have to start over.
One wheel at a time.
Have fun, have rags standing by.
Never use a Styrofoam cup.
Don't ask.

 open, until I saw good flow. Question is do you have to open the bleed
 valve for pressing the clutch and close the bleed valve for getting off
 of the clutch?

 The engine is idling pretty nice now, can still use some fine tuning. I
 think the radiator is starting to fill up, but I guess this process will
 continue for a while.
