[DeTomaso] Overhead Sound Bars

I've been considering mounting speakers like those in my wife's Boxster.

They mount in the doors, but they protrude into the cabin. The cabinet is
covered in carpet. It looks very nice, and would allow speakers where they
belong without cutting big holes in the door panel. Granted, you'd have to
drill a few holes to mount the speakers, but that's better than a big mongo
hole.

The overhead sound bars (from Hall Pantera and others) is a poor substitute
for a good sound system. I know because I have one. The only reason I have
one is so I did not have to cut my door panels and don't listen to the audio
system that much anyway. I just enjoy the 351C symphony.

BTW the soundbar that Hall sells is the same one you can get for half the
price at J C Whitney. Neither has good speakers.

JME, YMMV
