My last car that had a 393 Cleve stroker w 540hp did the quarter in 12.08.
That m otor in a Mustang would have gone ~11.0.

Fellow Pantera Owners:

Some of you have engines in your cars that put out more than 500 hp. If I
were to aim for 500 hp, what 0-60, quarter-mile, etc. times can I expect
with stock gearing and modern tires and moderately-agressive driving? I
have a '71 and it will probably weigh less than 2900 lb. with the
modifications I'm doing. I'm not interested in trying to be the fastest
thing on the road- I never will be. I'm aware that over 500 hp (at sea
level) in stock cars can start to break stuff and be edgy on the street, but
at the altitude I live in, motors don't make the same power as if they were
at sea level. Yes, I realize that the car will handle well and is built
more for the track than the drag strip, but I'm still curious.

Corey
