[DeTomaso] NPC - 40th Anniversary "BARRETT CUDA" build

Some of you may find it interesting to follow the "build" of a retro mod 1971 Barracuda, aptly named the "Barrett Cuda", being built to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction.

As was done last year with the donation of the Shadrach Mustang by Pure Power Motorsports to the Darrell Gwynn Foundation, this purpose built 1971 "Barrett Cuda" will be auctioned with the entire proceeds going to the foundation. For this charity auction, Craig Jackson and Steve Davis waive the buyer and seller fees. 

All the materials and labor to build the car are/have been donated from many companies and individuals, such as Auto Metal Direct, JEGS, Chrysler, Year One, Toyo Tire, Panoz Auto Development and many others.

The body will sit atop an Art Morrison chassis, using C5/C6 Corvette suspension components, Mustang Cobra brakes, a 572 old style but new modified Chrysler Hemi power plant dynoed at 800/800, and rolling on Toyo's Proxes R888 tires sporting 335/20 tires in the "tubbed" rear end.
