[DeTomaso] Gates Green Stripe info

After looking around what I found is that there are two Gates green stripe hoses, one with and one without wire.  The hoses are
 
PN 24222  1 3/8 ID, without wire, comes in 3 foot long lengths
 
PN 24922  1 3/8 ID, with wire, comes in 5 foot lengths
 
PN 24224  1 1/2 ID, without wire, comes in 3 foot long lengths
 
PN 24924  1 1/2 ID, with wire, comes in 5 foot lengths
 
I talked to a tech guy at Gates and he did not recommend the hose with wire because he thought the wire could get in the way of the hose clamp applying uniform pressure.
 
One problem is that if you order it, people sell it by the inch, foot, and 3 foot length.  The prices vary substantially, so you may think you ordered 3 feet and get one foot.
