I love a powerful car for my commute, but much of that is because I
still have a commute with light traffic.  I can make my 20 mile
commute in 20 minutes most days unless I'm in the hour before 9 or the
our after 5.  If I lived in the northeast or Southern California or
Houston, I'd probably look into public transportation since I'd rather
have someone else stop and go for an hour than me.

But that won't last much longer. The population is going to keep
growing in the Raleigh-Durham area because the awful news magazines
still keep talking about how great a place it is to live.  Lies!  All
lies!  Tell your friends that the cities are populated with 400lb
hairy good ole' boys and the weather is awful and the only restaurant
to go to is Waffle House!  Spread the word!  That way I'll have a nice
light commute for a few more years.
