[DeTomaso] Oil Pressure outlet

Will,

I think that is good input --- but for clarification I have a question -- when you say loosing cylinder 3 & 7, do you mean rod bearings?

I've posted about this before.

There was a guy on the 351c forum that plumbed 5 gauges.  He saw drops in
the middle gauges when he revved over 8K.  The rest of the gauges were okay.
He plumbed the front-to-back line, and tried it again.  With the line, the
middle gauges were okay.  He did this because he kept loosing cylinders 3
and 7 during drag racing.

Here is the link:

I have the front-to-back line, plus I enlarged the hole in the rear sender
to the next drill size.  I think it's 1/2".  I also enlarged the threads to
3/8" pipe.  The front-to-back line is AN-8, and it runs down the center of
the Weber intake, with an adel clamp to keep it secure.

Guys,

Does the pressure read the same when the engine is under stress?  I think
that would be the ideal time to check the pressure differential between
ports.  The rear port would seem to be of more importance than the front
when trying to read pressure at the end of the galleries that feed the
mains.  I wasn't particularly surprised that the pressure was the same front
or back if the engine isn't stressed.

Just my two cents.
