I'm covered in that regard. It's right smack in the middle of the tread - I
ran over something sharp like a screw or nail or something.

You didn't mention WHERE the puncture is.

There are safe and not-safe zones for puncture repair.

click on, save and then open either or both of the two links near the top
of the page - they are in blue lettering.

If the puncture is outside the central tread area, -  i.e. - on the sidewall
or on
the outside, wrap-around tread section, a repair is NOT advised.
