[DeTomaso] Blower motor replacement

Jack,

I was able to pull the motor out with the impellers attached.  While I haven't
cleaned up the assembly it appears the motor is a god old USA item.  Does this
mean the thing has already been replaced at some time?

The label says Genair, made in USA.

Jim Gray

Did you release the squirrel-cage impeller setscrew from the motor shaft, so the
motor can be pulled out of the way, leaving the impeller inside? The impeller
blades are extremely fragile so you're right in not trying to force them, but
first, get the motor out of there. My blower housings were not cemented in
place, but I suppose anything's possible. Good luck, Jim- J DeRyke
