[DeTomaso] Battery Power Loss

Thanks Bill!!   I removed the large wire from the alternator and my meter still pegged.  I removed the other two wires from the alternator so it was completely disconnected.   I now have just a small tiny little bump on the meter needle not sure what the reading is.  I guess I need to take the alternator to autozone tomorrow for a checkup.

You are testing correctly. You should not have a "power off" draw of anything close to 250mA.
 
Since you've tested all the fuses, disconnect the big wire on the alternator. You can very likely have bad diodes in the alternator. Most autoparts stores will test the alternator free.
