I'm afraid I learned the hard way too, Schotchbrite pads will scratch glass QUICK too. Just like grinding grit.  If It is not too bad... use a razor blade and scrape the boogers off.  I have a couple of Kevlar blankets we use in the body shop.. Bill 1362
