Johnny Woods has his elegantly mounted inside his glovebox.   Since he has 
no heater or A/C, he repurposed one of the heater controls, and when you 
slide the lever, the glovebox door opens up for access.   However, you really 
can't reach it very well from the driver's seat.   A radio with a remote 
would be a better solution.
