[DeTomaso] How much ZDDP?

The general concensus appears to be that ZDDP is not going to hurt a solid roller and is recommended where aggressive cam profiles are used. Personally I'm using use oil with it no matter what, but then I use Brad Penn exclusively in my sports cars which has 1300 ppm Zn and 1500 ppm P.

Unless you are in a location where only the modern low ZDDP oils are sold, why wouldn't you use an oil with ZDDP, the main disadvantage is reduced catalytic converter life and how many of us run CATS? The cost differential of an oile with ZDDP (or an additive) isn't really a factor in comparison to other quality oils and if you are using a no name brand to save a couple $$ then you really are on your own...
