[DeTomaso] filling spot welds

I faced the same dilemma when filling in my rear engine bay spot welds a couple years ago. The problem with body filler is that it can crack when too thick. That's why filler should not be used for major dents on body work. I have seen many bondo jobs crack over time on various cars. I have seen one pantera that had the welds filled with body filler, and it did not crack out 7 years later, but it is a garage queen.

I have a MIG welder and can weld to some degree. Filling with weld is possible, I suppose, but I just used lead. Propane torch and some lead filler from Eastwood. i then smoothed over the top with a skim coat of body filler. seemed to be the "right way" to do it to me, but I am just a well-read amateur.
