[DeTomaso] Real GT5?

So, how do you tell if a Pantera was originally built as a GT5?

Besides the presence of the obvious items like the fender flares, wrinkled
leather interior, squared rear wheelwell housings, etc...is there a sure fire,
no doubt way to check if a car was originally a GT5 build rather than a regular
GTS?

Is contacting the factory for records the only way to really know since almost
every part to convert a narrow body car is being produced?

Thanks!
LS

like a dream -- and was fast too." -- Dan Gurney
