[DeTomaso] Any reason to not lay a ZF on it's side to add oil?

Sure- works fine as long as you plug the breather hole in the top case..... 
You can also add the requisite oil amount with the lower access cover off 
and the ZF upside down. That works even better 'cause you can cut the bottom 
out of the lube container for really fast adds! Then you button it up and no 
mess after installation. Cheers- J Deryke
