Right. I had less than zero interest in cars when I was growing up
(shocking to consider now) and I adamently refused to get a license when I
was in
high school, because then my parents insurance would have gone up and I
would have been expected to pay it!
I got a motorcycle-only license when I began riding at the age of 20. But
I had still never really driven a car, until I finally broke down and
acknowledged that having a car would probably be a good thing. So, I got a
Pantera! After I bought it, my girlfriend at the time took me to an open
parking lot in a Datsun B-210 Sundowner (remember those?) and I learned how
to
drive a stick shift car. Then I went back to LA and picked up the Pantera
I
had arranged to buy a few weeks earlier, and the rest was history. :>)
