[DeTomaso] DeTomaso Digest, Vol 79, Issue 1

Gary -
I'd second John's recommendation. As long as you are starting from scratch,
it would be a good time to relocate the condensor up front.

Just to share one experience - I purchased a complete set of hoses from a
Pantera vendor, specifying the type of connection I needed. When they
arrived, the connectors were not compatible. I live in Europe and the vendor
in the US, so the shipping cost to have the connectors changed would have
been significant. I cut the connectors off and had enough length to use 3 of
the 4 hoses - the fourth I bought new here.

Just one person's experience - if you are going to order something from
really far away, make extra sure that there are no communication issues, and
you might want to consider installing the connectors yourself just to avoid
any kind of problems...

Gary

The 508 is a good choice.

As long as you need new hoses and assuming that you are mechanically
inclined, consider moving the condenser to the front of the radiator. A
large efficient condenser that covers the radiator is available from Vintage

Air for not so much.

I also could not more highly recommend the new Aerorquip EZ-clip lines.
These components allow you to easily assemble the lines by yourself in the
garage. Impressive quality.

Good luck and welcome to the Forum
