I am told I got the last NOS rubber bumper from Roland about 5 or 7 years ago.  it was expensive and looks OK.  I have a good used one, but it is probably the same as the one you have.  I dont think there is any way to make a typical used one (with some wear and tear) look great.  I guess I would use the flat black paint from SEM for rubber bumpers  I used that paint on my e brake handle.  It does not look all that spectacular.  justin
