[DeTomaso] NPC - Retro Lic Plate

Hi Brent, 

I'm in Texas and we can have Year of Manufacture (YOM) plates.  I have a Texas 1971 plate on mine but definitely not as cool as the one you posted.   We also have www.myplates.com here in Texas...you can order a Modern version of the black plate if you want or  whatever color you want.  A place called Restore A Tag supposedly does great restore work.  If CA allows for YOM plates then it would be something for someone to consider.

A friend of mine took this picture in Palo Alto yesterday - He is a cop and elected not to give a ticket on account of how cool it is:

This doesn't look like a one-off, seems very professionally done.  Anyone ever seen something like this? know where you might be able to get one?  Seems like a pretty nice addition to your 60's classic...
