[DeTomaso] DOA - The "new" De Tomaso

This year I had the pleasure of going on the Car Guy Tour with Fran
Mandarano throughout northern Italy. Besides having the pleasure of
spending a one-on-one evening with Santiago de Tomaso in his personal
shop, we also visited the new soon to be active someday maybe DeTomaso
factory. The software term "vaporware" was apparent everywhere. No one
even remembering the scheduled visit, no prepared presentation, no
personnel, a big totally empty factory, and the father and brothers
utilizing a lot of imagination and hoping that we didn't know much about
cars. The brochure was a joke and totally devoid of any facts, and the
promo tape was full of hype without substance.
It was immediately apparent that they were going nowhere.
