Tremec was founded in Queretaro, Mexico and their transmissions are made there.
They also have a sales, marketing and engineering office near
Plymouth, Michigan.
Many of Tremec's transmission designs (T5, T56, etc.) were purchased from Borg
Warner.  Tremec manufactured the Ford SROD single rail overdrive version of the
toploader and the TKO design is based upon the SROD and top loader designs.
