[DeTomaso] Ethanol article worth reading

 ...................Well Jack and all  ........this Ethanol issue started YEARS before the current administration.  There was a "Energy Policy Act" instituted in 2005 & 2007 ( let's see.....who was our president then? ? ?) which  was a mandate to reduce the use of foreign oil and required the US to use 16 billion gallons of ethanol in a % mix in our gasoline.These requirements were ammended during the 2007 term of "G W" to steadily increase our use of ethanol nationwide in billions of gallon increments .  Ethaonol actually was the designated fuel for Henry Fords first vehicle  ( the " Quadracycle " ) but the lower cost of gasoline won out by the Model-T vehicle introduction. Ethanol was in use in this country since the late 1970's and was the additive that replaced the horrible and deadly  "MTBE " crap we had to deal with years ago !!
   So. . . . . . .  let us not do and continue to spew fiction before fact ,  the non stop disinformation , and the " look what he's doing to us " when the real push for ethanol was on the previous administartions ( several of them ) watch. I am so tired of the bait and switch from a certain party (I  was a card carrying menber) ......and why are we even discussing this on a CAR forum ? ? ? ? ? ? ?  The automotive aspect truly belongs here ,  but not the other stuff......................
