[DeTomaso] A/F Gauge- wide or narrow?

Oooh...me first!

I have had both...IMO, only a wideband O2 would be sufficient for any type
of tuning....a narrow band o2 just bounces around and really make neat
graphic display...MIGHT tell you if you are extremely lean or extremely rich
under a sustained engine load...but a wideband will provide enough detail
and reading accuracy to actually adjust the mixture and improve performance.
In short, are you interested in tuning from it or mostly just want a neat
warning light in case you lean out?

Subject: [DeTomaso] A/F Gauge- wide or narrow?

Hey guys.

I'm going to install a dash mounted A/F gauge in my car. Is a narrowband
gauge sufficient for general display or is wideband required for accurate
display?
