[DeTomaso] DMV registration question for fellow Kalifornians.

Hello Peter,
Here is a thought. Take the car off the road, change registration to PNO 
(Planned Non Operation). When you go to get the car registered in the 
future, I believe, you will need to go to the for a safety check. I'm 
thinking that they don't even look under the hood since that is not safety 
related? The car is re-registered and you are good to go? I believe the 
entire California vehicle code is available on the internet. I would say it 
is worth looking into.
