[DeTomaso] Heater tubes

 I'm looking to hook up my heater after the tubes had been capped off for years.  Just want to make sure what I'm seeing is correct.

The metal tube on the passenger side of the console tunnel (which I assume is where the hose from the heater core connects) exits on the driver's side under the firewall, right?   The diagram in the parts book shows the tubes being parallel but apparently they must cross somewhere in the tunnel.  If this is correct then I gather from other posts that is the tube that gets connected to the water pump bib.
