Larry,

Get a copy of the June 2011 Car Craft Magazine. On Page 56 this exact
problem is addressed. Ford has a TSB out which calls for the use of
LOCK-N-STITCH anodized aluminum thread inserts and tool kit.

You can check out LOCK-N-Stitch at:
_http://www.locknstitch.com/sparkpluginserts.htm_
(http://www.locknstitch.com/sparkpluginserts.htm)

The LOCK-N-STICH site also has a link to the Ford TSB.

The tool kit is apparently quite expensive so it might be best to have
Ford do the fix.

The TSB covers the 5.4 and 6.8 2V motors but does not cover the 4.6 motor.
The tool kit can be used on 4.6 and 5.4 motors.

Aluminum expands 2.8 times faster than steel. Some owners have found as
few as three threads hold their sparkplugs in the heads. Yikes!

Larry: I am sending you a scan of the Car Craft article separately.

Have fun today,
