[DeTomaso] NPC- Mustang plug problem

Hi Guys,

 

I had a 2000 Mustang 4.6 come over this weekend that had blown out one of
his spark plugs. I compared the spark plug hole on a good cylinder and I
only counted about 5 threads. On the bad cylinder there were no threads.
Wow!

 

Google tells me this is not un-common for this motor. It looks like a real
pain to pull the head on this motor. 

 

I see MANY different kind of "kits/methods" to repair this. 

 

What has you experience been to repair this, with and with out pulling the
head.
