[DeTomaso] electrical ground help

Jeff,

The side marker light is the last light on the ground daisy chain.  
The next light on the ground chain is the parking light.  There should be
two black wires connected together on one of the connector pins at the
parking light connector.  One of those wires is the ground wire going to
the side marker light.

When you did the voltage check, did you check from the socket's center contact
to the socket's shell, and center contact to a known good ground?

Have you tried taking a jumper wire from a good ground and touching
it to the shell of the light bulb (with the bulb already in the socket)?

You could have a problem within the bulb socket itself. 

While a voltmeter may indicate the presence of correct voltage, it draws
very little current and may actually be giving you "false" information.
