I have a 408 windsor,550 hp,aluminum flywheel,centerforce clutch from Hall,stock 4.22 ring gear.
With michelin 335/30/18 pilot sports if i stabbed the throttle below 35 mph it would spin the tires.If i rolled into the throttle below 35 mph it was touch and go if it would hook up or not.
With the toyo r888 tires i can stab the throttle above 15 mph and it will hook up most of the time.Only way i can "launch" the car quickly from a stop is to ride the clutch.
This is with tires warm.If the tires are cold,forget it,no traction.
If i ran a wrinkle wall drag slick,it would probably blow something,the ZF,u joints,driveshafts.Dont know what,but its not a drag car so it does not matter.
