Cesare does have the molds- such as they may be. I asked Steve Wilkinson
about this at the Fun Rally, and DeTomaso's nephew W. Ellis later confirmed
the sale from the company that had held them. The light-alloy casting part
of Campagnolo went thru several changes of ownership including to
Technomagnesio which itself went belly up, then the next owners began using the
"Campagnolo" name again..... Trouble is, the original molds were made of mahogany
and continued use with molten metal literally burns them up, which is why
there are several iterations of all the wheels and why some finished wheels
have sharp edges and some are rounded off.
Dunno- maybe the later molds were more permanent. I hope so- he says he has
ALL the molds including the almost non-existent models used for the racers.
Stock on a Goose are 7" & 7-1/2" x 15s; the 8" & 10" wheels used on the
Sports 5000 will fit a Mangusta and appear to be whats on the one & only
Mangusta roadster.... My 2¢- J DeRyke
