Yo Bjoern,

Good advise.....and congrats on your run at Silver State and also thanks for welcoming Bud Hower who drove his Pantera all the way  from Kansas to Ely and home again on 7 cylinders! ;-)>

I sure missed seeing and partying with you and the other VIKINGS earlier this month. I heard allot of things about the weekend but it is worth mentioning that Pal Blytt also from Norway recorded  the fastest road average at 183 mph (?) and hit a high of 207 MPH through radar trap which is a tough job on that road.

Was sorry to hear about Stan "Moonshine" Martin's accident. He is a hellva competitor but glad to hear he is okay even if the Mustang is not.  He is as you know our only American moonshiner at the event and he brings it all the way from Tenn.

Hello Boyd,
You first need to know what rules apply in your chosen speed class (if you
going open road racing).
Then you will know for sure if you need a roll bar, a roll cage or just a
harness bar.
A harness bar does not actually help you in case of an accident, it just
lets you install your harnesses in a proper way.
I just fitted a harness bar in my car (none DT) + 6 point harnesses and
entered the Sept. SSCC in the 120 mph speed class.
Car went thru tech inspection without any problems.
If you need more info I can recommend you a fabricator/manufacturer who are
making bars for Sparco.
Their work is first class.
Cheers Bjoern
