Not at all true.   The Campy wheels are hub-centric, as are those of most 
performance cars (OEM wheels).   Many aftermarket wheels are NOT hub-centric 
to make them more generic, but in general that's a pretty bad idea.   
Plastic or metal hub-centering rings are available to center up such wheels, 
normally are quite cheap, and would be a good idea to include with your wheels, 
if your wheels aren't hub-centric.   They work well to alleviate the problems 
commonly found with lug-centered wheels (running out-of-round, vibrations 
etc.)
