As Gray said, even with a helmet, the left side connecting bar is usually
too close for most American-size drivers. It's possible to relocate most
driver's seats an inch or so further towards the center of the car and use
urethane padding on the connecting bar between the front & rear cage hoops, to
better protect your head. Real racecar builders when faced with this
situation, cut the roof off, weld the bars as close to the outer skin as possible,
then reweld the roof. Same with the dashboard for knee clearance. The Pantera
is a SMALL car and often, pure bolt-ins just aren't the answer! FWIW- J
