Judy's all-stock-never-overhauled Sept 72-build 351-C flywheel has a
'D7TE-GA' marking, which is in fact the date: D= the '70s decade while C= the
'60s. Its well known among rebuilders that Ford flywheels interchange among
engine lines and years, so if the engine has been worked on during the last 38
years, there's no guarantee the 'stock' flywheel has a date stamp matching
the block.
A stock iron 26-in-oz balence flywheel will have a trapezoidal cast-in
balance weight on the back side 3-3/8" wide at the narrowest point . A 50-in-oz
weight will be considerably larger. I think your shake comes from something
else. Good luck- J DeRyke
