Seats are highly over-rated.  You really don't need any.

(Disregard the previous statement if you are under 6' 5".)

You can get close to the pedals with seat adjustments, cushions, etc., but you can run into a safety issue with the steering column.  You and the seatbelt need to be set such that you will not impale yourself on the steering column in a front-end collision.  With the inertial reels, it can be hard to judge how close is too close.
