  Barry,  if you can, check the "pantera" booster to see if the studs are
metric thread. That will certainly tell you something. Mid-'80s GM boosters
have a 4-bolt SAE pattern, and the shops that sell them in a Pantera
conversion cut the 4 studs off and weld on three new metric-thread studs in
the Pantera pattern. And to do that, the entire booster must be stripped,
cut/welded then rebuilt and re-alodine-coated. Seems like if there was an
easy way to use an adapter, they would've found it rather than going to that
