[DeTomaso] Rear Deck Lid Hinge Pins

... has nothing to do with speed. Depending on how tight or loose the
pins are they could vibrate loose just from regular driving. The
trouble with those on the Dawg's car were that they were just loose
enough that road vibration worked them out. Sure, at high speed maybe
aerodynamics has a part to play but probably more in the hammering new
body lines than unloading the hinge so the pin drops out.
Some people have a devil of a time getting the pins out, but others have
found the friction fit isn't what it used to be and -those- are the ones
that need to be secured in some way.
