My powder coater used Dupont FF Super Silver II (PFA6317) on mine and I
think they turned out great. It's a just a touch darker that the stock
Argent silver and has some metal flake in it. Let me know if you would like
some pictures of them.

Subject: [DeTomaso] Campy powder coat color???

I'm arranging the powder coating of a local owner's four stock Campys.

They are in very good condition, no oxidation or chips. CAPS here in Fresno
usually stays
away from magnesium pieces, but he saw one of the wheels and feels they will
come out just fine.

An 80 grit aluminum oxide blast to bare metal, a 400 degree pre bake, then
rolled out and immediately
powder coated while still at high temp, then into the oven to bake and leave
to cool overnight with
the end-of-day oven shut down to get them properly annealed.

Does that sound right to you guys?

Also, does anyone have a powder code # or name that they know is tried and
proven, along with the supplier's name/brand?

Any other advice?

Thanks,

Larry
